I did a quick search and found that there is no such thing as TYFTWD. So I made up my own. Our garden is overgrown with giant sunflowers, and I thought they'd compliment Panera's burnt orange/green color scheme nicely. They got lots of compliments and we even surprised one of our dear, elderly customers with a bouquet on their usual table.
Next time you're trying to decide between cookies or brownies to share with the office, take a big vase of flowers to brighten everybody's day - they should last all week actually!
P.S. - The "big" project is still underway... I hope I can finish it before I go back to school!

From Me, To You
I've decided that maybe if I promote my blog a little more aggressively on Facebook, I'll actually be motivated to post stuff more often. Especially when I've promised to... yeah, obviously I got a little busy and forgot to put up my 4th of July post. But hey, that is kind of the point of this blog anyway, right?
So, without further ado, here's the coolest painting I've ever made:
It's free-handed with the exception of the outline of the guitar; done with acrylics on two 16x22 canvases. Somebody asked if I ever sell paintings - yes I do! Just contact me about what you want and we can work it out! And I guarantee originality every time - so you can't have this one! ;)
I think it trumps every one of the fruit bowls and countryside landscapes that are stacked up in my closet...
Speaking of countryside landscapes, that's your first hint for what my next project will be. I just went and bought all the supplies I'll need, and I'm so excited to start on it! I'll be good and not make any promises as to when you can expect to see progress updates though... So, in the meantime go discover or do something awesome!

Propoganda Posters and Other Fun Stuff...
Sooo... I haven't posted in awhile. But that just means I've been doing lots of interesting things that I can now post about. :)
Here's my latest project, almost done:
I don't know how I somehow always manage to magically pick out clothes that match what I happen to be painting that day. Seriously, it's weird. That has accidentally happened the past three times and I have pictures to prove it. Here's the finished product:
My brother commissioned it for his Capt. America-loving girlfriend. I love doing these kinds of things, which reminds me, I need to get more canvas. Anyways, it's a little different from the original propaganda poster on purpose. I never want people to have a straight-up copy of something. That's lame.
Speaking of lame, it looks like it will be a very dry 4th of July... No fireworks! Well, I'm sure some people will ignore the burn ban. Regardless, soon I'll be posting another picture of another project (which is a bit ironic for Independence Day - you'll see) but very fun none-the-less.
